About Me

One of my passions is in helping my clients explore how early life experiences contribute to the ways they relate in the world as they go through life. I look for ways to work with you to process and heal traumas (both early and later in life), relationship or life patterns and missing experiences to assist you to show up in your life in a way that feels authentic, grounded and connected. Your journey and the way that your system organises itself to meet your needs are unique to you and I am honoured by the opportunity to assist you in making meaning of your own experiences.

Through assisting you to mindfully sit with, understand and process your own experiences, I believe that healing can come from within. I hold strongly that the body has an inner wisdom, and that your system has shown strength, resilience and courage to get you where you are today. My work is largely guided by somatic therapies (I am a Hakomi trained therapist). I am also trained in EMDR, and use aspects of attachment theory, schema therapy, internal family systems therapy and polyvagal theory to inform my practice.

I am passionate about my work. I believe that all parts of you are welcome in the therapy room, and that they have played an important role in getting you here – even the parts that don’t always make sense or that you may struggle with sometimes. Seeking help can be a big step, and my goal is to honour that process with curiosity and compassion. I have over ten years experience working in the public and private system with adults with a broad range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, personality vulnerabilities and psychosis.

I am currently practicing in Leichhardt with appointments available Monday - Thursdays. Please feel free to reach out to discuss your treatment needs.

I am a registered psychologist and board approved supervisor. I hold a Bachelor of Psychology and a Masters of Forensic Psychology.
